Objective: Design the branding for the 107th annual student exhibition show at the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art.
Challenge: Come up with a theme for the year to tie all the branding together, make the year unique and memorable.
Solution: Me and my partner, Kylie Parker, worked together to develop a logo and a theme, which is “connection in a time of separation.” We created accompanying promotional materials like posters, invitations, tee shirts, and a website.
The Logo: The logo ties in the words “art” and “107” into one form, representing connection. This exhibition was the year Covid-19 first occurred, so we wanted to emphasize the ability to safely connect in a time when we were all physically separated. The grid of dots represented isolation, and the gradient represented those dots coming together and merging.
